Cloverdale Bouldering

Today i went to an area that my brother Carlo and i found outside of Santa Rosa, Ca.
there is alot of potential at this area but we have only put up a few problems. this video is of an arete put up by my good friend Ryan Tolentino, from Santa Rosa. I snagged the second ascent of this problem and agreed with the proposed grade of V6. we havent come up with a name yet but oh well, here is the footage:

Yosemite April 2008

This past weekend i travelled to Yosemite Valley with some friends from the bay area, Simon Benkert, Ryan Tolentino to name a few. We arrived in camp four at about 11pm on friday night.. our crew kinda got broken up so Simon and i decided to climb at night, we had a spotlight which really helped us see the holds, thanks to John on that... but anyway we had a sess on the thriller boulder and dominator till about 3 in the morning, that was about when we called it quits on climbing for the night. the next day consisted of me getting thrashed on Thriller V10. Thriller is an amazing 20 foot overhung wall in camp four. Thriller consists of sloping sharp granite crimps, slopers and meatwraps. The top is very comitting for me. On the third day, the last day of the trip i was able to complete the climb with much ease. i never felt like i was going to fall. i love it when climbing clicks. in other news, i recently made the decision that i was going to compete this year after all. so we'll see how that all works out. pics of Thiller will be posted soon.
